This is wonderful and would be a shame to lose the cypriot/english language as spoken by that immigrant generation that will eventually die off.

However, what I find quite sad is the state of knowledge of the greek language by the 2nd generation onward here in the UK. So many of the words submitted are not Grenglish at all, but actual greek words, yet it would seem that they do not know that.

Glad to see 'abetchoo' has been submitted. (I bet you)

The ones that fascinated me were place names, (of which most have been mentioned)

Brighton, pronounced as Bra-IG-ton.

Westminster, pronounced as west-MI-NI-ster.
