I'm of English mother tongue and my knowledge of Greek or Cypriot is very, very basic (maybe a couple of thousand words, little conjugation).
However, I lived in Nicosia for a few months in the early 1950s and picked up a few words, some of which are no longer used, such as αχρήματος (sp?). My thought is that such archaic words may well have survived in Grenglish longer than in Cyprus or Greece.
