My dad had a cafe in Ealing, West London and his friends would come in for:
sosija rollous - sausage rolls
hamburka - hamburger
baybins - baked beans
pochop - pork chop
cuporti - cup of tea

Sometimes the mpoila (boiler) would break and he had to call the plummas (plumber).

My brother was a busseri (bus driver).
Sometimes they'd go to the bookies and put a bettie (bet).
Their favourite horse was Ela Mana Mou. He was a winnas (winner). Or sometimes they'd bet on an outsidas (outsider).
